Ratan Tata Education and Personal Life
Ratan Tata was born on 28th December 1937 to his divorced parents. He went to the Campion School in Mumbai and later studied at the Cathedral and the John Conan School. Ratan Tata graduated from Cornell University in 1962 with a degree in architecture and in 1975 he also completed advanced management courses at the Harvard Business School.
Ratan Tat preferred to remain single throughout his life. His grandmother’s contribution is important in shaping his cultured life. He has two brothers named Jimmy Tata and Noel Tata.
After working for some time in America, Ratan Tata started working in the Tata Group at Tata Steel, Jamshedpur. From 1991 to 2012
Under his leadership, Tata Group’s revenue grew by $100 billion.He is also the head of Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Allied Trust as well as Sir Dorabji Trust and Allied Trust. The trust owns 66 per cent stake in Tata Sons, the holding company of the Tata Group.
Ratan Tata is a member of the Board of Trustees of Cornell University. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees at the University of Southern California.
